A brand-new site is invisible to Google at first. Google Search Console is the free tool that introduces your site to Google and shows which pages are indexed and which searches you appear in.
At search.google.com/search-console choose the Domain type and enter your domain. Google gives you a TXT record to add to your DNS (at your registrar or Cloudflare). Verification takes minutes.
In the Sitemaps section submit sitemap.xml — a one-shot list of all your pages. 'Success' means Google received it. If it says 'Couldn't fetch' at first, it usually fixes itself within hours.
Paste your key pages into URL Inspection and click 'Request indexing' to prioritise them. Doing this for the homepage and a few main pages is enough.
Setup starts the crawl, but results take time — a few days to two weeks for new sites. Being indexed and ranking first are different things; the latter comes with content and time.
